When I placed the fabric order for the front of the Diamonds in the Deep baby quilt, I went ahead and filled up my shopping cart with more Kona solids until I got free shipping. I don’t see a point in ordering and paying twice as much for an order due to shipping, and I am always going to find uses for Kona solids. I ordered a yard each of 6 additional colors:
Top Left to Right: Kona Oyster, Kona Prussian, Kona Marine, Kona Nightfall, Kona Nautical, Kona Snow (Upper Right).
One of these things is NOT like the others… I was really surprised by the size of the box that the fabric order arrived in. When I opened it up, it was quickly obvious why: instead of a 1 yard cut of Kona Snow, I was sent a 5.5 yard cut. WHAT?!?! Thank you, fabric gods, I will use this gift wisely.
Linking up to Sunday Stash.
What an exciting surprise! You can always use white 🙂
Lucky you!! And speaking of lucky, congrats on winning the Bloc-Loc rulers. Was so hoping to win those!
Yay fabric gods! If a mistake was going to be made, the Kona Snow was a great one for it. That color can be used almost everywhere!
Wow! Where did you order from? What an awesome surprise. Pretty colors!
Whoa! That’s super awesome! And I love all of those delicious blues. YUM!
Ding Ding Ding – you win! You mean to tell me that free fabric came to your door? What a great day!
Yay! What a cool surprise! Have fun with those!
Ooooh wow that is quite a lot of extra! Those blues are all so pretty!
What a wonderful surprise and a really useful one too! Those blues are pretty delicious have you labelled them? I always think I will remember what colour it is and then totally forget!
That’s the best oops ever! Enjoy all that unexpected white!
Quick! Go and buy a lotto ticket!
Happy mistakes FTW!
You made some beautiful choices. And lucky you! Kona snow is my favorite.
Gotta love mistakes like that! It’s not like you’ll ever run out of uses for white fabric!
I love it when the fabric gods smile down on you like that!
That is too funny. I did that when ordering from spoonflower once . It was an expensive mistake on my part… One that I somehow didn’t notice during checkout (I blame the screaming children in the background). But I did enjoy those extra panels to practice my quilting on. It was nice to not have that pang of fear when using fabric that I really love. Because I knew there were 3 more just like it on the shelf. :)))
That is awesome! You can never have enough white 🙂
Woohoo fabric Gods… they can bless us when we least expect it! Congrats!
The perfect solid to have more of too, happy mistake indeed!
