Quilty Thankful Thursday #12

Linky Party, Thankful Thursday

A quick note about an administrative change: I decided to change the name and hashtag from “Thankful Thursday” to “Quilty Thankful Thursday” after seeing what else gets posted on Instagram under the Thankful Thursday hashtag. I want to keep it clean and fun for others to share, and since I am trying to target the quilting community, please use #QuiltyThankfulThursday if you post or link up through Instagram! Thanks!

I am so grateful to everyone who follows along and participates in this quilting adventure with me. This week I am celebrating my 300th blog post, and in celebration, I am hosting several giveaways! Please don’t miss out on this week’s celebration giveaway!

I am also extremely thankful to Lynn @Buttons Quilts. She and Jenn @A Quarter Inch from the Edge teamed up a few weeks ago to hold a Kona challenge. Lynn and Jenn each used the random number generator to select a winner from the link party, and Lynn selected me! She sent me this beautiful Kona bundle:

What are YOU thankful for this week? Here’s how to link up (link up open for 48 hours on Thursday and Friday US Pacific time):

  1. Link up any blog post the past week that discusses something that you are thankful for, no matter how big or small (Did you win a giveaway? Did your seam ripper save the day? Did a friend do something simple and kind that made your day?).
  2. To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is http://www.instagram.com/quiltingjetgirl). Please hashtag #QuiltyThankfulThursday.
  3. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post.
  4. Comment on at least a few of the other Thankful Thursday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

  • What a great combination of colors! I am working with Kona Melon right now on a quilt for my sister’s first baby and my first niece. It’s a white and melon broken chevron with French Navy Jacobean Navy for the backing and solid navy for the binding. Next up are the sheets and crib skirt. I still need to baste and quilt it which is never fun on my home machine, it’s just too small. At least it is a smaller one and so it won’t be too painful! Today I am thankful that spring is showing signs of arriving up here in New Hampshire. There is relief in sight from the never ending snow storms that have made life so very difficult this winter!

I really appreciate the time and thought you take to comment, and I look forward to conversing with you. :)
