One of my goals for fabric shopping at QuiltCon was to find fabrics to use in a baby quilt for my cousin. My mother and I will be collaborating on the quilt together, and she has chosen to use my Tessellated Leaves pattern to piece together the quilt top! The nursery colors are peach, teal, and white, and this is what we purchased:
I also had a hard time resisting purchasing more orange fabric. My favorite color, for the record, is blue, but orange and I are definitely having a bit more than a moment at this point.
Lovely oranges… i always end up buying teals and oranges too!

The mother specified the colors of the nursery, and it is gong to make a lovely quilt!
Oooohh, I think go back and get at least a little bit of some of that orange!
I got all of these… 🙂
Oh, those oranges!! So beautiful! Peach and teal are not colors I would have put together – but wow, what a fabulous combination!! And how cool that you and your mom will be collaborating on the quilt!
Mom and I have done several quilts together. Being apart, she tends to piece the top and I make or finish the backing, quilt, and bind. Pretty fun way to make gifts for family.
I can see why you’re having a moment – those oranges are great!
Right?!? I was telling Jess @Quilty Habit how much the I was digging them and it came out all nerdy. Kind of fun to be around other fabric junkies who understand the excitement!
All very gorgeous and that’s going to be a lovely leaf quilt!
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing my mom out another leaf tessellation together!
Beautiful fabric! Had to miss QuiltCon because of illness, another year.
Thank you. I hope you are recovering quickly.
Beautiful choices. The blues and oranges will look wonderful together.
Thank you, Anne.
Orange used to be my least favorite color, but it is Monkey’s favorite. So it is definitely growing on me. I have found that I love bright orange fabrics. You have a great selection. And the baby fabrics are so sweet!
Thanks, Jasmine. I am just so excited about the orange gradient, and I think it will be fun to come up with a design to show it off. 🙂
How wonderful, and fun, to be at QuiltCon! I love your baby quilt fabric pull, and I can see why you and Orange are having a moment. Those are gorgeous prints!
Thank you, Christine. 🙂
Lovely oranges! After a few baby quilts that all ended up in the same palette, I’ve really come to appreciate blue, orange, and yellow together. Did you have fun in your jet suit at QuiltCon? 😀
Great fabric pics! The colors are lovely.
Such beautiful fabrics for the baby quilt! I’m not usually an orange fan, but those fabrics are amazingly beautiful too.
Those are lovely colors together and I am excited to see what collaborates with the baby blanket. Over the past few years I have had an increasingly more dangerous affair with orange myself, which has more recently been going towards coral. Odd, because way back when, I would have scowled my face. :o)
