I am thankful for the amazing modes of fast and safe transportation currently available. I marvel that my car can drive up a hill at 70 MPH that I could barely walk up at a 3 MPH pace. I revel in the joy and miracle of flight. And most of all, I am so incredibly thankful for what these options mean for my ability to travel and visit with family and friends.
I think you might know what that means: I am at QuiltCon today through Sunday. I have posts scheduled for while I am away, and I will do my best to keep on top of comments, but I will probably fall behind. If you want to keep up with me, check out my Quilting Jetgirl Instagram feed and I can’t wait to share with you about my time in Austin next week!
What are YOU thankful for this week? Here’s how to link up:
- Link up any blog post the past week that discusses something that you are thankful for, no matter how big or small (Did you win a giveaway? Did your seam ripper save the day? Did a friend do something simple and kind that made your day?).
- To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is http://www.instagram.com/quiltingjetgirl). Please hashtag #ThankfulThursday.
- If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post.
- Comment on at least a few of the other Thankful Thursday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

Have a wonderful time at QulitCon! Wish I were going too… guess I’ll live vicariously through your posts! 🙂
Thank you. 🙂
I forgot I’m thankful for IG so I can get a sneak peaks of everybody going to QuiltCon 🙂
🙂
Lucky you! And on Southwest. What a treat! I’ve seen pictures of some great quilts!
🙂
Hope you have/are having a great time, and that your outfit is a huge success! Looking forward to seeing more when you get back.
Thank you!
I’m having fun following you on IG at QuiltCon… and hope to meet you at next year’s QuiltCon in Pasadena!
I hope so, too!
I totally agree with this! It is amazing that the airplanes work and how quickly we can travel over vast distances!
I think about our means of transportation quite often as I am driving to and from work a pretty long haul (and traffic) and I appreciate it but sometimes wish the simpler times were around and it wasn’t such a jam of things! I do appreciate flying though the most, as it has allowed for great opportunities and moments in life to be had and shared with friends and family, or experiences… like QUILTCON! I am super jealous!
