Linky Party, Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday #9

I am thankful for instant digital downloads. I really love that I can purchase a quilt pattern, download it, and start working from the pattern in minutes. I can even choose to print out a select few pages of the pattern or just leave it pulled up on my computer monitor for reference. It is just so handy! This past week I purchased the Elephant Parade pattern by Lorna @Sew Fresh Quilts to support her and participate in her Elephant Parade Quilt-A-Long. I really believe in supporting Lorna by purchasing the pattern (even though she is graciously providing weekly directions for free on her site). I look forward to sharing my QAL block progress with you later!

What are YOU thankful for this week? Here’s how to link up:

  1. Link up any blog post the past week that discusses something that you are thankful for, no matter how big or small (Did you win a giveaway? Did your seam ripper save the day? Did a friend do something simple and kind that made your day?).
  2. To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is http://www.instagram.com/quiltingjetgirl). Please hashtag #ThankfulThursday.
  3. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post.
  4. Comment on at least a few of the other Thankful Thursday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

And by progress do you mean finished flimsy? 😀 I find that if a pattern can’t be downloaded, I’m likely not going to buy it. . . I need that instant gratification!

Those elephants are lots of fun, look forward to seeing yours progress.

  3. I admit I love instant gratification and those downloads provide that. I also love being able to start on a project as soon as I buy the pattern. Now, if only a way could be found to teleport fabric!!

  4. And man you aren’t kidding me! As much as sometimes it scares me with how far ahead it seems that we keep wanting to get ahead of ourselves, I still really do appreciate many things for the “instant gratification”… and especially when that instant gratification can be one that continues like that super cute Elephant Parade QAL! Sometimes I find that instant gives people the false reality that EVERYTHING can be given and done in an instant. Oh how the times change!

How neat, to have a Thankful Thursday post! I like to purchase patterns to support the creator as well… And this is a very cute pattern!

I really appreciate the time and thought you take to comment, and I look forward to conversing with you. :)
