Quilts

2014 in Review

I completed 41 quilting related projects in 2014. Wow, that’s a lot and way more than I anticipated being able to complete! The gallery below is a sampling of 25 of these projects.

I published 177 posts (well, 178 when you count this post). Holy moly! That’s a lot of posts for a year! I am most proud of my submission of Synesthetic Alphabet in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival this year. Thanks again to everyone who voted it into the Viewer’s Choice category – that was amazing!

I left my full time job in April and I haven’t really looked back. I spent this past week reflecting on the change in pace in our life with my husband, and we are both thankful for the changes. An unexpected side bonus of leaving my job? We are eating at home more and we have both lost ~15-20 pounds. It feels good to be cozy, happy, and healthy.

I started this blog a year ago, and I really had no idea what to expect. I started by back dating posts to coincide with my quilt finishes. I joined the New Quilt Blogger’s blog hop sponsored by Beth @ plum and june, I figured out Bloglovin’, and I have enjoyed getting to know so many fabulous quilters through this blog and theirs this year. Thanks so much for being part of my 2014, and I am really excited about what 2015 has in store for us all.

  16. You made all those lovely quilts and you cooked up a healthy storm!? Well done, Yvonne. I did a lot of sewing in 2014 but my passion for cooking has faded slightly. I need to stir it up again.

Wow, that’s a lot of making, and it’s not as if any of it was really quick, tiny things either. Hoping 2015 is just as satisfying for you.
