It is the beginning of another month, and Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs has released the next set of instructions for the Foothills Mystery Quilt. I jumped right on the instructions this month and I got the blocks done the day the instructions showed up in my inbox. I am finding it hard to believe that it is the end of another year and that in a month I will be needing to remember that the date is now 2015. Crazy! The instructions this month called to make Hourglass blocks and Four-Patch blocks.
The Hourglass blocks are the first, and only, time our blender material is used. My blender is a light gray with black and yellow swirls. I hope it sets a nice compromise between my dark black solid background and my bright yellow prints!
I have really been enjoying this mystery quilt progress, and I can’t wait to see how others blocks come together this month. I am so curious about everyone else’s blender fabric choice!

That blue fabrics to die for! Love the swirls on it. Can’t wait to see the finished quilt!
Grey? It looks blue from here.
You are amazing! I saw your finish post before I even saw Cheryl’s post about the new clues! LOL I love your blender fabric! It coordinates perfectly with the others. I can’t wait to see how this comes together.
Your blocks looks cute together so far! Seems like a fun project to work on. I totally thought those blocks were navy and light blue too! Black and grey does not compute.
Your blender fabric seems like a nice bridge between the black and the yellow because both are featured in the print. Good luck – Can’t wait to see how this mystery turns out!
Wow, really quick work! Seems like no time at all since your last batch of making for this one.
Beautiful! Your finished quilt is going to look wonderful!
Oh Yvonne! How awesome is this! Your quilting looks great on the long arm and then this Mystery quilt!!! Loving it! I think the contrast is great! I am sincerely questioning mine though ever since I got the directions, which is why I haven’t made mine yet. I might just go for it tonight though. Ack! I have REALLY been loving this mystery quilt sew along too!
