My husband and I hosted a gathering of friends at our home this weekend to wish some friends well as they are preparing to move and start a new adventure in their lives. We are sad to see such lovely people move away, but we are also incredibly thankful for the times and memories we have been fortunate enough to have with them. During the party, a few of my quilts transformed a portion of our living room into an amazing fort. Although I did not really fit, it was a lot of fun to crawl around under the quilts and watch young minds and imaginations hard at play.

I love quilt forts! Yours looks especially fun! Glad you had a great party!
Quilts are wonderful things! Dens made from quilts are far superior to any other kind!
I think I spent half of my childhood under this kind of tent! How fun!
So cute! My kids love making forts out of the sofa cushions, blankets, and quilts.
This looks like something fun for kids!!
Cute!
Fun. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.
How great friends you are Yvonne. It is always sad to say goodbye…Seeing those quilts forming a tent..I want to crawl under them too!! 😀
My brother and I made tent forts all the time….such fun memories!
Quilt forts are the best. And PS, I think we have a runner that matches your blue rug exactly!
I remember those days 🙂
I don’t remember having quilts growing up but we did have sleeping bags! I’m sure if there was a quilt my mum would have hidden it well!
Such wonderful memories, and a beautifully colored fort!
That’s exactly what quilts are used for in my house 🙂
Such a great way for quilts to be used. My son would have loved it!
Ohhh yaaaaa! That’s what quilts are for!!! 🙂
Oh I remember doing this in the living room as a kid. My dad used to get 2 x 4s and industrial clamps to make a fortress! Great times, glad kids today are still using their imaginations!
I remember making a mess of my dad’s living room with dining chairs and brooms and whatever we could get our hands on. Fun.
