We just rolled our calendars over to October, which means another set of instructions have been posted for the Foothills Mystery Quilt hosted by Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs. You can check out my previous history in the Mystery Quilt series in these posts:
- Foothills Mystery Quilt {Fabric Selection} (July 2014)
- Foothills Mystery Quilt {Fabric Cutting} (August 2014)
- Foothills Mystery Quilt {HSTs} (September 2014)
This month, we are to make (12) 6.5″ Square in a Square blocks. After last month’s 144 HSTs (that I even helped my mother prepare), I was glad for a little lighter work load. I spent right at 1 hour and 15 minutes making my 12 blocks.
In completely unrelated news, I noticed I had missed a FaceTime chat request with my brother when I went to snap a picture of these blocks to post on Instagram. I had a quick chat with him, during which my darling little niece hung up on me. Haha! 🙂
Oh that looks very graphic! I’m getting curious. When is the end of this mystery project? 🙂
I SERIOUSLY need some of your sewing mojo!! 🙂 Your blocks look great. I can’t wait to see what this turns into! Your background fabrics are great!
I am loving the golden background fabrics. Your blocks look so good.
very nice. I love what I’m seeing on the mystery quilt, but I just can’t make myself do one, I like knowing where I’m headed too much. 🙂
Those blocks look great. Seems a long time to wait till November to see some more progress though now. I think I’m maybe not good with mysteries, if I were doing it myself it might drive me a little potty!
They are turning out great… loving this! It is slowly coming together…
I love your blocks, it is so exciting to see everyone’s quilts starting to come together.
This is looking great. I’ve never done a mystery quilt before, so it’s fun watching how yours is progressing. Keeps the mystery alive!
I can’t believe how many blog posts I’ve missed! I made sure to follow you on Blog Lovin’ so that doesn’t happen again.
I love these blocks. So simple, but they look so amazing together. And your fabric choices are fantastic. I can’t wait to see what this mystery quilt looks like finished! Great work!!
You got me curious about this mystery quilt!! I love the black in yellows. This combination never disappoints you.
