Blue Spring Rain – Almost Done!

Sunday was a super productive day! We went for a 4 mile walk, got our veggie garden planted for the year (I am already looking forward to the delicious fresh meals from the backyard…), and I finally finished quilting Blue Spring Rain! Yay! I had to pick out another tuck or two this afternoon, but I got it done and I am really happy with the way it looks. I was hoping it would look like water dripping down a pane of glass, and I think it just might capture the effect I was hoping for!

I was also able to get the binding sewn down to the front and half of the whip-stitching done on the back. I think I only need to work an hour or so more and this quilt will be getting its first wash. I am really looking forward to how it crinkles up and looks afterwards! 🙂

I also have to say that the pop of blue for the border really makes this quilt pop. It even dresses up my very boring backing!

It looks beautiful! The quilting definitely has the effect of water and rain on a window.

Hi there! All that open space has left lots of room for quilting. Great job : )
