I had a great time quilting “Whale of a Time” over the weekend. I was moving right along and on Sunday evening I had visions of getting the binding on… and I was so focused on finishing that final row of quilting detail that I failed to notice the folded over backing I was stitching down. Oh well, a little seam ripping never hurt anybody. I put it aside for the day.
On Tuesday, I had an 8am dentist appointment, and with work starting at 7:00am and a half hour drive to and from, I just woke up at my normal (way too early) time and did the seam ripping, completed the quilting, and got the binding down. So I just need to whip-stitch down the back of the binding and this quilt will be ready to wash and deliver to its forever home.

I’m linking up to Freshly Pieced’s WiP Wednesday. With any luck I’ll have this one done by next week! *fingers crossed*
The colors in this are fantastic! Glad you were able to get the stitched ripped out and then be on your way again. I’ve done that before. It’s so easy to just catch the extra edge of the backing without noticing especially in the adrenaline rush of thinking that you’re almost done with a quilt 🙂
I love the colors of this quilt! It looks great! Found you through WIP Wednesday – fun to see what others are working on! 🙂
I am a huge fan of your colour choices. I bet it will look amazing!
This is fantastic! I love the colours of this too! And your quilting is awesome!
