Today was a beautiful and productive day. I started out this morning spending some time figuring out Etsy – it is going to take a while, but I think I will eventually open an Etsy shop to sell my quilts (yay!), then I put binding around my pattern sample block, I took a 4 mile walk with my husband to eat a tasty lunch, and then I spent the afternoon making a quilt top. And I finished the quilt top! Holy cow, it is amazing what can be accomplished in 4 hours!
This is a very modern quilt top with a lot of negative space. I went to my stash knowing that I did not need a lot of the accent color, and immediately gravitated to my favorites – blues! I got a bit of inspiration from my Pinterest Quilt Ideas board, but I pretty much just made it up as I went along. I already know how I’m going to quilt it, but I think I need to make a back and buy some batting first! The top came out to 60″ by 72″.
